Minecraft Servers Taught Me Business Before Real Estate Did

People are surprised when I say my first real business was Minecraft. But it was. I ran servers — built communities, managed costs, handled support, and yes, earned real money from it.
Running a server teaches you things most people only learn the hard way: how to price something so people will pay, how to keep a community happy (and what happens when you don't), how to manage infrastructure costs, and how to show up every single day even when no one's watching.
I ended up earning over $86,000 through hosting Minecraft and gaming servers. That number surprises people, but the lesson behind it matters more than the number: treat something small like it's serious, and it can become serious.
Those lessons carried straight into everything I do now — title work, real estate, Beadle Enterprises, content creation. The platform changed. The discipline didn't.
